The Woodstock Soccer Club

The Woodstock Soccer Club is a youth club located in the Town of Woodstock, NY, an arts community in The Catskills, about two hours north of New York City and an hour south of Albany.

We run a Fall and Spring program each season, plus a small indoor winter program. The fall season generally begins mid-August and runs through early November, weather permitting. Spring season generally begins in April and ends in June. The division a player falls into is determined by the child's age on July 31st of the fall season. Divisions are U-6 (under 6 years old on July 31st), U-8, U-10, U-12 and U-14. U-6's don't play games, but the other divisions play teams from AYSO Saugerties.

In addition to these recreation teams, there are travel teams for the more dedicated players. We field a team when we have enough dedicated players within an age group and when there's a coach available to make the team happen. If you want to form a travel team for a particular age group, you are more than welcome to propose the team and try to get into the East Hudson Valley Youth Soccer League. The WSC Board and coaches have a lot of experience with the EHVYSL, and are willing to help get you organized and to make the contacts you need in the appropriate leagues.

Our club's governing body is The American Youth Soccer Organization, which mandates, among other things, that we run an all-volunteer club. The AYSO website has a wealth of resources for coaches, players and parents. The Woodstock Soccer Club is AYSO Region 732.
