Volunteer Coaching Info
As part of the American Youth Soccer Organization, both the Woodstock and Shandaken Soccer Clubs are volunteer organizations and do not have and paid volunteers or personnel. The participation of the board, as well as, coaches, and referees that step forward each season keep this program running as a vital functioning part of the community. All AYSO volunteers must be registered and complete an online Safe Haven course. This is to ensure our volunteers the best opportunity to help keep the youth of the community involved in a safe, fun and fair sporting environment. We need your help. No experience required. Join us and volunteer now!
Were always in need of coaches, board members, referees, help with field maintenance, and with shaping events like the end-of-season parties. The travel teams only exist because enthusiastic parents got involved with other leagues, recruited players and volunteered to coach.
If youre on the field with the players at all, you’ll need to register as a volunteer using your username and password on eAYSO.
Once registered you will be able to take the Safe Haven for Coaches course and coach courses at AYSO Training. To do this you’ll need to use the volunteer ID number that is issued when you complete the volunteer application on eAYSO.
If there’s any soccer-related activity you’d like to see either the Woodstock or Shandaken Soccer Clubs get involved in, all it takes is somebody to organize the activity, and you could be that person.
Contact any of the board members on the Contact page if you’re interested in volunteering in any capacity.
